My small mixer broke the other day -it burned out while making GF gingerbread for my 6 year old. I'm thinking of investing in a nice heavy duty stand mixer. For the bakers out there - do you think it is worthwhile to invest in the 6 quart 525 watt heavy duty one, or would the 5 quart Artisan 325 watt be enough for any GF baking I may attempt in the future? I'd be interested in hearing if the various GF flours needed a heavier mixer than usual. I'm getting myself the mixer for a Christmas present - a little early, so I can try out all my GF dessert recipes for our Christmas Eve party. Happy holidays and I'll summarize when I can.
