Hi,

Thanks for all your helpful responses.  Most of you encouraged me to go ahead with the endoscopy; it's not that bad (thanks for the emotional support - there's something about having a "procedure" done on my little guy that makes me hesitate).

Many, many responders suggested just going with the gf diet and see what happens (I guess I wonder how I'd be at following through on that without a diagnosis - considering the available gluten-full food in the world and his siblings and Dad who are not gf).

There were also a couple of mentions of other food allergies.

Thanks;  I plan to go to the pediatrician's armed with info.
