While recently reading the ingredients in Newman's Family Recipe Italian
Dressing, I was shocked to see the words barley malt. I had been told by
Newman's
that all of their dressings were gluten-free, and had previously checked the
ingredients just to be sure. Either I missed it, or they have changed the
ingredients. I don't know if this holds true for all of Newman's
Dressings, but
Family Recipe Italian is definitely unsafe. I have been using this dressing
almost daily, I used it for salads and a marinade. Hopefully this information
will help some people that have been mislead. I plan on contacting Newman's
for clarification, but for now I will be making my own dressing.
