I never actually weigh my food. Too much bother and takes the enjoyment of
eating away. But very high protein for me means.

two large fat herrings for breakfast, two large home laid eggs and a couple of
big chops for lunch, and 1/2 a 4lb home grown chicken for tea (the legs are as
dark as steak). Not to mention the protein found in my nut snacks, or the
slice (read hunk) of meat I munch on in the evening.

I have brought my protein intake down a bit now by adding more veggies and
fruit - and it works wonders. Also now cook with beef or pork dripping. So 1
herring for breakfast, maybe just one chop at lunch with two eggs, and at
least 1/2 pound of meat for evening meal. Still can't stop the evening slice
of meat or a smoked kipper.

This is my protein and fat intake now. But add to that at least 10 -12 portion
of fresh fruit and veg - mostly raw and almonds and pumpkin seeds (great for
my electrolyte balance) and the odd dried apricot or date.....

Fran
as skinny as a rake and considering calory restriction in an attempt to slow
my metabolism - but worried about keeping blood sugars stable (I get reactive
hypoglycemia if I get hungry) along with optimum electrolyte balance for
keeping atrial fib at bay.
