This model came with EIDE or SCSI drives, so you should go to the DEll site
and enter your serial number to get the exact specs.
I've never used a refurbished drive, and tyhey might be just fine, but new
drives are relatively cheap and I'd prefer the (probably) better warranty.
This is probably a good opportunity to get a larger drive.

My Dell Dim. xps r400 has a bad drive. So, my solution is to purchase a new
drive from Newegg (preferably a refurbished one). My question is, How do I
know which drive will work with the Dell? Also, will i need anything else
along with just the hard drive?
