1. Update your display drivers. Or set hardware acceleration for the
display to "none" and see if the problem goes away.
2. Otherwise, look for software updates to PSP 8 here:
http://www.jasc.com/support/
If there's no fix or updates for PSP 8, you may want to try a free trial of
PSP 9 and see if it does any better.

I use WinXP Pro SP1 as my main operating system. Memory modules = 288MB
I do a lot of photo enhancement work using JASC Paint Shop Pro 8 (PSP8). My
problem is that after a few
adjustment to a photo, everything "locks up," and Windows Task Master tells
me that CPU = 100%. I then
must close PSP8 down.
I can switch to a Windows ME operating system, and I don't have any problem,
but WinXP is my Internet OS,
so I use it most often.
What is the solution, if any, to this problem? Do I need to add more
memory?
