I haven't tried this, and I would not use it if I "did" have it installed
since I have heard too many bad things about it...
Roxio has a program that allows writing directly to a CD like it
is a floppy. It is called DirectCD.
I was lucky years ago in that it would not install unless I updated it,
but to update it I had to install it first. Much later, during some aggressive
testing, I learned there were all sorts of ways to loose access to the
entire CD and all the info on it -- at the drop of a hat!.
As other people have said here and on other lists, back up on at least
a couple different types of media, and keep one off-site.
Good luck. Rick Glazier

files it will only let me set up to backup to "A" floppy drive. I want to be able to backup to my "D" CD-RW drive, I can not change
the "A" to "D". Help! Machine is a Dell 4500 PIIII 2.0G, 256mg, NEC DVD+RW \CD-RW Drive w\Windows XP Home. TIA
