Your post interested me as I had just posted a similar problem to an
orthomolecular group. When ever I eat walnuts or brazil nuts I get oozing
sores in my nose. Each time it happened I was diagnosed with impetigo. But it
always only comes when I eat walnuts or brazil nuts. It goes when I stop. I
can eat almonds or hazel nuts no bother. You have to remember that nuts can be
one of the most allergic foods there is. However, here is an answer I got. It
seems to make sense to me.

"When you consider that an imbalance in l-Arginine and l-Lysine can make it
easier for the herpes family of viruses to exhibit themselves, the brazil
nuts may also be causing an imbalance which expresses itself as your
describe. Good detective work."

Hope that helps you. Just don't eat them anymore.
