You don't have to re-configure anything when you lose power to the
router/modem.  

You will have to open the ports used by EchoLink.  My old router does not
have the ability to open just the ports I want, so I had to set my pc as a
DMZ (all ports to my PC open).  This is no concern to me as I am using
Sygate as my firewall.

Steve, are you using the XP firewall? How is it
working for you? We're getting dsl Friday, and I'm
concerned about echolink and skype operation with a
dynamic i p address. Wonder if I'll have to do lots of reconfiguring
everytime our i p changes because we had to go off line because of a t-storm
or power failure?
