I'll be honest, all the 570s I"ve ever heard with a hand mic sound like crap
no matter how the radio is set, I use my trusty MC-80 on everything HF and
get great reports. I don't know what it is, but I've heard 3 or 4 hand mics
on 570s and they're horrible! same one sounds great on my 940 though and the
2000 the hand mic sounds good, I've heard a few. The gold line by Hial
sounds good too but that's a little pricier then the Kenwood MC-80 and in
comparisons, they really don't sound that different.
