I haven't bought one new in a long time now, but I don't have one I can't
manage yet. Newest one I have is from 99 or so I think but I always found
radio shack scanners to be best personally, Uniden isn't too bad, it is
getting time to replace my base scanner but I don't think they're too bad
once you get used to them from what I've been told.
