Hi Anthony.
First go to
http://www.w4mq.com/echo/
It'll tell you what you need to know about operating
the remote with echolink. I gave you the deep link
because navigating their main page is a bear as it
refreshes every 10 seconds. The page I gave you is
static. Make sure you read all of list 1, then click
on >chat commands> and there you will find all the
commands for operating it via the chat window. Then
you can go to echolink and connect to w4mq and start
controlling the station if it's free. By the way, on
that page with the link for the chat commands, there's
also a check radio status button. It'll tell you you
can check the status that way or do it on echolink.
Well, if you click the button, it'll open a new window
in your browser with the status info. Only problem is,
it refreshes every 5 seconds so you got to be quick,
persistent, and patient to read the little box before
it goes away again. Typing a question mark in the
echolink chat window once you connect is much easier,
that'll tell you who's control opping the rig if
anyone, and the frequency and mode. It'll text you
automatically every 25 seconds or so with your mode
and freq anyway. As to how to type in to the chat
window in echolink using Jaws I couldn't tell you for
sure, just know how to do it in WE. You just click
with the left mouse button on send and your keyboard
cursor goes in the box. Hope it gives you enough
information. 73
