I posted a problem last week about a 98/XP network wherein the settings
seemed to be correct, but the icons didn't appear in Network Neighborhood.
In my desperation I consulted the Help file, which solved the problem-"Use
Find to locate Computers on the network".
All icons now show, although I have no idea why Find would work when the
"Add Network place Wizard " wouldn't.
