I had an interesting discussion with a person who has severe nut/chocolate allergies. She is currently under the care of a allergy specialist. They were discussing organ donation and the dr. told her about a case where a person with allergies to nuts died, donated his organs to someone, and when that someone-who was previously NON-allergic- had nuts, he almost died, too. She was advised not to be a donor, or to have something very specific writtem up for her family to use if/when her organs are ever donated. Wouldn't this also apply to celiacs who planned on donating?
