Hi list friends,

Has anyone had to write their health insurance companies about their
refusal to pay for diagnotic tests?

Recently, after my sons DX, my husband and I were screened to see if
we produced antibodies to gliadin.
BC/BS said that they do not cover screenings. I'm in the process of
writing a letter to them describing why it is so important to screen for
CD, particularly when the long range health implications can be so
severe and many people are asymptomatic.

Any advise? Thanks.

Cathy, Pittsburgh
