I, along with two other special education teachers, are working on an EIA
Grant. The grant is for the use of PDAs in the classroom with special
education students. Their disabilities are in the areas of Learning
Disabilities and Emotional Disabilities. Your office was recommended to me
by way of Matthew SchneerI when I wrote to the "No Child Left Behind". I am
searching for any information on the use of PDA's for the disabled.Do you
have any documentation on the benefits of using these in the class with
special needs students? Are you able to recommend any type of software that
can be used with the PDA to benefit these students. The main reasons for
this grant is to provide a means of taking notes that are legible,
organized, can be kept to use for study guides, etc. All of these things can
be beamed to them. I would like to find the one item that was presented
during a conference. The presenter told about an item that could be placed
on either side of a white board and anything written on the board could be
beamed to the students. I checked with Palm and they did know what it was.
This is one device that would really benefit the students with note taking.

Anything that you are able to correlate technology and the "No Child Left
Behind Act" would be great. We are going to run into a time problem soon so
anything you can send, please do so as soon as you can.
