Greetings!
I have been using Dragon NaturallySpeaking Preferred version 5 in
WIN95B since I bought it in 2000. (A separate version which was
not included with WordPerfect9) .... The programme has worked
well,
flawlessly, I should say, UNTIL last week. (I know the box doesn't
include WIN95B, but several other experts correctly said yes it
could support v5.)
I have twice tried to "repair" it, and lastly, removed it (saving my
speech files) and reinstalled it with the older speech files.
It isn't very long before the programme undertakes an abnormal
termination, and the following error messages have been received.
SDAPI Error 4: Error: [voc\wordlist 4] SDWord_GetName: 55878
Errors in Microsoft C++ Library
NATSPEAK caused an invalid page fault in module DMFC6.DLL at
017f:5f442dbc.
Over the years, I've tried using Dragon with WordPerfect9, but
have not the best results with WP9, and have used Dragon Pad in
RTF most of the time.
I have installed a few other programmes over the last three years,
but those installs never affected Dragon or WP9.
Any collective wisdom about suggested approaches for getting
NaturallySpeaking up and running again appreciated. And if there is
an active discussion group/list which might deal with Dragon
installation/maintenance problems, that address would be
appreciated.
Thanks very much
Bill in Toronto
