Is there anyone out there familiar with GOBA (greater ohio bicycling
adventure)?
It is in June and we ride for 7 days, approximately 55 miles a day, and
pitching a tent at night.
We are not allowed much baggage, and food is going to be a big issue for me.
I have never done this ride before and hope someone can give me guidance.
There will be food stands set up along the way, but it would be like going to
a fair....nothing to eat!!
I will be able to carry about one loaf of bread with me. Since this is a few
hours away from home, I don't have too many options. Semis will carry our
tent and we are allowed a second bag. There basically isn't going to be
much room for food, and even if I had it, I am sure it would be crushed in
the truck. I imagine a cooler is totally out of the question, and where
would I get ice anyway.
Any suggestions? I know I can eat somewhere, sometime, if I search for
places, but I am trying to figure this one out. I just wonder if any other
celiacs have done this.
Thanks,
Bev
