The general consensus seems to be not to eat sour cream or mayonnaise (which
are the ingredients in many cole slaws in restaurants) unless you know the
ingredients.  Modified food starch which could be derived from wheat, or
natural flavorings which people told me can also be wheat apparently can be
in both.  Only one person responded that he ate cole slaw in restaurants
without problems.  Thanks for all the quick responses.  Barb
