I recently found myself at the end of a long day of work and travel in a
hotel with no dining options. Other than the month old Cheese and Peanut
Butter crackers and a Pepsi from the vending machine or the McDonald's and
Dunkin Donuts across the street. No car, way to tired to call a cab and
search out a more quality (paleo) dining experience. So I made the best of
my options and headed for the Dunkin Donuts and ordered half a dozen glazed
chocolates and a quart of coffee.... Just kidding, I actually made the best
of McD's with a Bacon Ranch Salad, which was pretty good, grilled chicken
on greens. Yes, I ate the cheese, and the Balsamic Vinagrette dressing
which had (horrors!) soybean oil.
Anyway, what do you do to make the best of a bad paleo-diet situation? Any
other fast food restaurants that offer something remotely resembling
paleo? Let's assume restaurants like steak houses, and grocery stores are
out of the question. I know how to handle those.
