Folks, any update on Waa Juwara? It is good news to hear that the other
Alternative members have visited Waa and they are working together to tackle
the Gambian plague that is Yaya Jammeh and his bad policies. This is indeed
encouraging and I look forward to reading in the news that the alternative
have succeeded in forcing his release.
Now, it's been 5 days or more since Waa has been in custody and we still
have not offered the help we should give to support his family. Saul
Mbenga, I recommended that you collect the funds for this effort, but I'm
yet to hear from you. Please let me know your thoughts on my suggestion.
Alternatively, I would be glad to hear from any NDAM officer in this effort.
Folks, I am recommending that we send some money from the Save The Gambia
Fund to Waa's family. The last thing those that are fighting on our behalf
should worry about while they are kept in a musquito infested jail is taking
care of their families. Any day Yaya holds Waa is an injustice to all
Gambians. However, each day that passes by that we fail to help financially
is also an injustice to Waa and his family. He is part of the cause to rid
Gambia off a dictatorship. Please let us act now.
