I just purchased a Yaesu FT-1500M two-meter mobile transceiver. It has a
feature called "tone search" which purports to scan an incoming signal for
the CTCSS code. I assume this would not apply to determining the input PL
code for a repeater, am I correct? The manual is pretty vague on this
point. Also, the microphone has four buttons marked A, B, C, and D for
which I find no explanation in the manual. Does anyone know what they are
for?
