I bet you are using a Toshiba laptop? PHDISK, I believe, is a program used
to save your computer information when you go into hibernation. The only
way to get this program working again is to use their recovery CD, but you
will loose all your information on your disk as this procedure usually
formats your drive. I would contact your laptop support to see if there is
an aproved procedure for upgrading your operating system and maybe, in the
meantime, borrow a external CDRW and backup everything.
