Hi,

It is possible.  It's possible that an item was made to the higher specs
and the packaging it came in did not reflect it.  The only way to really
know is try it.  When you have a USB 2.0 set up and you connect a device
that is not USB 2.0 you usually get a warning message in the later
version of windows, that that situation is happening and the data
transfer will be slower.  Remember, USB 2.0 is not supported by Windows
98 2nd.

Looking at a USB port on the computer, USB 1.1 and 2.0 will look the
same, and you want it to look the same also because USB 2.0 is downward
compatible to the 1.1.

Hi All,

A question that's been in my head for a while.  From a basic, physical
point of view (i.e. cables, sockets, etc.), what's the difference
between USB 1.1 and USB 2.0?  Will a USB hub that was made prior to USB
2, function as USB 2 if connected to a USB 2 port?
