A known fact for choir singers - do NOT consume dairy before a concert.
I've been singing in one choir or another since childhood. If ever you want
to get fat, sing for a touring Mennonite choir. I toured all four years at
EMU (Eastern Mennonite University). You should've seen the spreads we were
tempted with morning, noon and night. Homemade rolls and other breads,
enough sweet desserts for a large army, temptations too numerous to mention
and all homemade and good enough to make you cry. We ALL complained about
bloating and weight gain on choir tour. Wish I'd known then what I know
now.
