Hello,

I am new to this resource, so please be patient with me and my questions.
I am a 51 yr old Native American woman, and a little more than a year ago I
was diagnosed as having IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). I have come to
realize that the term "IBS" is a catch-all phrase given to me because the
doctors do not know exactly what I have. For the past 5 years I have had a
severe eating disorder, which has caused me to lose over half of my body
weight, caused the decay and loss of my teeth, and find that anything I eat
causes me problems. I recently began searching for answers to what I can
eat and in that have discovered that I may have an intolerance to gluten.
Over the past couple of weeks I have tried to remove all items that may
contain gluten out of my diet and have actually been feeling somewhat
better. My question here is that I live in northwestern Washington state,
I would like to know if there are any resturants or fast food places that
serve food that is gluten-free. I have had to turn down offers to meet
friends at resturants because I do not know what is safe to eat and what is
not. Does anyone have any suggestions????

Thanks,
Debi Solomon-Carter [log in to unmask]
