Hello,

I'm new to this message board and would like some advice from all of you
out there.

I live in Munich, and lead quite an active social life, meaning eating
out, drinking etc. I've found the last few times I've been in places where
a lot of beer's been consumed I would feel ill. One time in an australian
pub somebody bumped into me and spilled beer on my arm. I ordered a non-
alcoholic drink but it came in the same glass used to serve beer, and I
kissed a lot of people on the cheeks (usual greeting here) who drank beer.
I also kissed my boyfriend who drank beer and vodka. I felt soo ill the
next week, even if I had not drank anything.

Another time I accidentally touched beer, cause it overflowed from the jug
i was carrying for a friend, and afterwards I felt ill too. Another time i
was in another pub, and I did no touching or kissing, or even touching any
beer glasses. I just ordered something out of the bottle that was gluten
free. But after half an hour of being in there, I started feeling ill.

I'm now wary of going to places where a lot of beer is served or consumed.
And in the birthplace of the Oktoberfest, where beer is categorized as
food, and with spring coming and the beer gardens opening up, this is
going to present a major problem.

Can anyone tell me if I'm just being paranoid or if there's a legitimate
reason for my concern?

Thanks for your help.
Pinky
