I listed my intolerances as Gluten, Lactose, Iodine (aka Providon), Eggs, and Chocolate. By checking the items people referred me to, I have come up with this List:
Omega Smart Bars - meet my needs (cost more)
Oskiri sesame-molasses bar - looks safe
Organic Food Bars - unable to reach company.
- There is no Trader Joe's or Whole Foods
in my area, so I cannot go and look at the
ingredients.
Govindas Bliss Bar - no, it contains sea salt and
that contains iodine.
EnviroKids - no, contains sea salt
Biogenisis - no, contains sea salt
Bumble Bars - no, contains sea salt
Enjoy Life Foods - no, contains Iodized salt
Allgoode - no, contains sea salt &/or chocolate
Deliciously Slim - no, contain chocolate in some
form.
There were several requests to share my findings, and 1 shared recipe from Heidi Schuppenhauer:
1. Melt some coconut oil (very digestible). It melts
at 74 degrees, so I just put the pan in a pan of
hot water.
2. Mix in some chopped coconut, roasted nuts,
(cocoa powder and a little sugar optional), or
whatever you like.
3. Spoon into tiny muffin cups or candy cups, and
freeze.
"I make a big batch and they last awhile." "Everyone likes them."
