I also forgot to mention that passover is the season to stock up on
soy/corn free margarine.  It's pareve so it's also dairy free.  They
have salted and unsalted ,the brand is mothers margarine.

Cottonseed oil is used, which is phenominally unhealthy but for someone
looking for corn/soy/gluten/dairy free, it's the way to go when  you
need something for baking or whatever.

I usually use coconut oil for baking, but did stock up and freeze some
MOther's margarine when I need non-dairy 'butter' for something like
mashed potatoes or something similar....
