Yup. I do that too and have for years.  That's part of why it's so hard to
explain because I take care of myself and the tests indicate I need
substantial help.  It was a long fight with the U.  Even the lawyer took 3
months before disability services would do thier part of the petition as if
your disabled you need disability services support.  If one isn't disabled,
they can submit their own petition package by themselves.
