Possibly true for some, though certainly not for all.  I'm far, far away
from estrogen dominance, in fact am very much progesterone dominant.

Many sites/books play up the estrogen dominance theme as a cause of
overweight (particularly in menopause), but a caveat is that
progesterone--the hormone of pregnancy--is implicated in weight gain, too.
Otherwise, a pregnant woman would not gain sufficient weight to support a
pregnancy and lactation.  Many young women on birth control pills gain
weight since the pill simulates a pregnant state.

Getting fatter :-(
