Not Too Pretty A <A HREF="http://www.ewg.org/reports/NotTooPretty/NotTooPretty_final.pdf">new report</A> released June 10 by the <A HREF="http://www.ewg.org/">Environmental Working
Group</A> claims that nearly three-quarters of 72 name-brand beauty products
included in the study contain toxic phthalates that cause severe birth
defects of the male reproductive system in animal studies. These include
undescended testicles and reduced sperm counts. The products vary from
fragrances and deoderants to nail polish and hairspray, including popular
labels like Arrid and Degree deoderants, Pantene Pro V hair spray, and the
aptly titled Poison perfume by Christian Dior. For a full list of the
