Colloquium Announcement

South Africa's Empire: A Rhetoric of Solidarity

A Lecture presented by Philippe-Joseph Salazar,
Distinguished Professor in Humane Letters, University of
Cape Town

16 November

Professor Salazar is the Director of the Centre for Rhetoric
Studies at the University of Cape Town and a Director of
Program at the College International de Philosophie, Paris.

In addition to several volumes on the TRC, Salazar's recent
work includes an important study of the South African
transition: An African Athens: Rhetoric and the Shaping of
Democracy in South Africa, (LEA, 2002).
