As previously announced, the elections for the 2004 AAM Executive
Officers will take place at the Awards Dinner this coming Saturday,
January 12, 2004 at the Neighborhood House.

So far, the following candidates have been nominated for the positions
listed below. We encourage you to continue to submit names for any and
all positions on this year’s Executive Committee: 

Vice-President:
      -OPEN; Nominations still welcome prior to the elections; 


Secretary:
      -Salifou Issoufou; 
 

Finance Secretary:
      -Frank Kooistra; 


Treasurer:
      -Abou Amara
      -Abiodun Tunji


Again, nominations will continue to be accepted up till the election
meeting, bearing in mind the rules governing elections as outlined below:


IMPORTANT RULES & GUIDELINES GOVERNING ELECTIONS:
      -Only members in good standing (dues paid) may vote or be voted for
      -Electoral Officers cannot be elected
      -Electoral Officers may not nominate or endorse a nominee but may
      vote
      -Nominees must not have served in the current (2003) executive
      -Nominees must have at least one (1) nominator and at least one (1)
      endorser
      -Nominees, nominator(s) and endorser(s) must be member(s) of AAM in
      good standing (dues paid).  Interested parties who have not paid
      their
      2003 annual dues may do so by meeting date.
      -Nominations will contiunue to be accepted up till the elections on
      Saturday, January 12, 2003
