Hi, Ginny, thanks for the reply. I had never even heard of Penta water
until a couple of days ago when I received a newsletter from the holistic
M.D. I've seen in the past. I've pasted her review below. And you can see,
she's sold on it.....and, uh, incidentally, also sells it.
BUT the same afternoon I received the newsletter, in a chain of events, I
actually talked to a local woman who's been drinking it (1xday) for a year.
She says it has great benefits, the best being she doesn't have the aches
and pains she used to. Also, she said it's a great energizer when you're
just so tired you feel like you can't take another step or do one more
thing. She stressed she's otherwise healthy, but her son who has Hep C has
really benefited, she says. He's on meds, but his latest tests showed much
improvement. The son drinks 4 bottles a day.
With technological tinkering, it can't be paleo as we understand paleo to
be, but I just had to ask if anyone here had any knowledge/experience. I
bought some out of curiosity/experimentation. Haven't noticed any
"improvements" but do note that something about this water makes it much
easier to swig down in large amounts. Can't quite put my finger on it. One
of my sons is drinking it and really, really likes it. His coke consumption
has fallen by the wayside. That's got to be one technological improvement
over the other.

What's the big deal about water? Good question. Purified water ought to be
adequate for everyone right? Not necessarily. Turns out that there is water
and then there are variations on water. You know some of the choices out
there and some of the controversy. Distilled vs reverse osmosis. Spring
water vs tap water. Ozonated water vs chlorinated water. These waters do hav
e different effects on the body. We'll talk about some of these measurable
effects, but first, let's review our basic science about water.
Water is composed of molecules of H2O. H2O is one oxygen atom with 2
hydrogen atoms attached. We consider water to be the H2O in the "fluid"
state. H2O becomes fluid water when the water molecules are close enough
together to form clusters. Water has clusters of H2O molecules and these
clusters range in size from 5 molecules to 20 or more molecules. The more
H2O molecules in the cluster, the larger the cluster. The larger the
cluster, the more difficult time it has getting into your cells.
Most water is composed of clusters of many sizes. Young people can generally
break the clusters down into usable sizes. Older people and/or people with
chronic illnesses may have a more difficult time breaking these cluster
sizes down. The amount of water that would hydrate a young, healthy person,
may be inadequate for others.
I heard about a water that could get into the cells more rapidly than
regular purified water. This water was also reported to increase metabolic
rate. Being something of a skeptic, I decided to find out for myself. I also
decided to see how this water would affect my staff. We compared it to
distilled water and to purified bottled water.
This water did what the distilled water and the purified bottled water could
not do. My phase angle increased, my intracellular water increased, my
extracellular water decreased, and my metabolic rate increased. What was
different about this water? The cluster size.
Penta water is processed in such a way that the cluster size is small and
stable. The water clusters are small enough to enter my old cells and
hydrate them. This means that my cells could function better, produce more
energy, and I was able to decrease the cellular waste outside of the cells.
We found that the younger and healthier that you are, the type of water was
not as critical. The older and less-healthy you are, the type of water is
important for cellular hydration.
Why do I think any of this is important?
Historically, for people with chronic illnesses like fibromyalgia and
chronic fatigue, we have had to use higher than normal doses of nutrients to
achieve desired results. I think it may at least be partially due to the
difficult time that the cells are having in getting the water into the
cells. When we check the intracellular water on people with these illnesses,
the intracellular water is ALWAYS low. And if they cannot get the water into
the cells, they will have a difficult time getting the nutrients into the
cells.
Some practitioners commonly use IV solutions to achieve higher doses of
nutrients for chronically and/or critically ill people. With the
availability of water that is stabilized with a small cluster size, we may
be able to achieve similar results without the expense and discomfort of IV
therapies.
YOUR HEALTH CHALLENGE this month is to achieve better hydration. In other
words, drink more water, preferably purified water.
Okay. You have your nutrient prescriptions. You have your diet and exercise
prescriptions. Now, you have your water prescription. To optimize your
hydration and your nutrition status, (unless you have a medical reason to
restrict water) I recommend that for 4 weeks, you drink 4, 500 ml bottles of
Penta water daily. After the first 4 weeks, you may continue to drink this
amount of Penta water, or you may decrease to 1 - 2 bottles per day and
supplement with purified bottled water.
