I remember him saying something about other hormone levels that can skew the
body temp in the  early morning(my last discussion with him on that was a
long time ago).  Such as the surge in cortisol just prior to awakening.  His
main point was that the reference ranges for the thyroid tests were wrong.
He scratched out the lab ranges and wrote in the new ones on my lab work.
He said this was based on 20 years experience working with many patients.
Similar, I assume, to the fact that normal cholesterol (under 199) we find
out now is wrong (min. 180 to max of 240) is now the norm for more
enlightened Drs.
In any case you can't dismiss the thyroid tests as being wrong when it is
simply interpreted incorrectly.
