The Jan. 20th issue of Newsweek (cover story: The Perfect Diet) will prove
to your wife that somebody other than yourself  <g> has heard of a paleo
diet.  On pg. 55 there is an article called "Dissecting the Diets" in which
Boyd Eaton's *The Paleolithic Prescription* is compared, so to speak, with
Atkins', Sears', and Ornish's diets.   There's really not much substance to
the article, but that the book received mention at all was surprising to me.

Bet you can still get a copy at a bookstore.
