Seems like I'm getting in on the tail end of this fiasco. Much has been said and to that I would add that the shame is on the donor and the recipients. Not all of Africa. I refuse to accept collective shame. One thing is clear, that fo the future a lesson that is this is not the way to go should be remembered.

AMEN! If it quacks like a duck, and walks like a duck, it is a duck. Even those of us who wanted to see the super eagles win, are embarrassed, to say the least. It was poor judgment to have given this money and a terrible one to have received it.

> From time immemorial, decorative mementos including jerseys and the like have been exchanged by teams in the soccer world. Regarding the $25,000.00 gift, I'm dumbfounded; I am yet to understand an argument for such. It is damaging, tarnishing news to African image by both the donor and the recipient.

> African United Football Club, you are in the wrong business my friends or playing on the wrong fields. $25,000 and other gifts for a visiting team, maaan you should choose where you play your next game very carefully. Sodas and dinners just don't cut it any more after this news.
