Last night I made a turkey burger and got extremely ill, I then realized the
turkey was seasoned and not GF meat. I am wondering what happens,
internally, after inadvertently ingesting gluten---does it destroy the villi
as to the extent it was before I went GF (4 months ago), or is the damage
cumulative? I guess my primary concern is, how compromised is my body's
ability to absorb nutrients after this episode, and is this like "starting
over?" it is very upsetting. thanks so much for any information.
