Hello list,

Thanks to all who have written offering suggestions. I have some more
information that makes the whole situation even stranger. I discovered
when looking for something else that the file I have been trying to recover
was in the recycle bin. I suppose I could have accidentally deleted it
but if it had been deleted, why would it still show up in my folder. I
have never had a file that I deleted remain listed in a folder.I clicked
recover and the file disappeared from the recycle bin. I still get the
same error when trying to access it though, invalid file name or path, try
using file open dialog box to find the file. Once again I tried opening
it using the open dialog box in Word and clicking on it when in my
computer. The properties still look normal. Very strange!
