In order to determine if the USB Ports integrated in your case will
support USB 2.0's 480Mbs you will need to read the manufacturers
specification. It should state something like: "The front panel printed
circuit card was tested for support of USB 2.0 data transfer rates."
Unfortunately not all chassis USB circuit cards meet the spec for USB
2.0. In some instances the chassis manufacture may not provide this data
and you'll have to dig. I've included a very short list of chassis that
have front panels tested by Intel for USB 2.0 support.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Integrated USB Ports on Case: Question

I was wondering if the USB ports that are frequently integrated into
computer cases these days all support USB 2.0, or whether some only
support USB 1.1? I know that a motherboard that supports USB 2.0 is
needed, but do you also need to look for cases that are specifically
described as having USB 2.0 ports, in order to hook these integrated
ports up to the motherboard's USB 2.0 headers?

TIA

John
