..i've learned to judge folks' "do-they-get-it-quotient" by the questions they ask. when i was first checking out our (current) day care center, i was immediately asked: do you have an epipen? how bad is her reaction? can it touch her skin? any special cleaning precautions? 

i'm also discovering (in restaurants, especially), that people w/ experience with diabetes/diabetics get this whole allergy thing pretty easily too (even if they've never dealt w/ food allergies before)...

Thanks.  I'll let you know how it goes.  It was sue great to speak to someone
who knew instantly what I was talking about instead of having to explain the
whole thing (which was always my first clue that it wasn't a good idea)
