I got back home Sunday morning from a friend's house, where I'd gone to stay whilst my power was out.  The ice storm here in Winston-Salem left 70% of the city without power and my power was out from Thurday until some time Saturday.  My cable was out until yesterday, and so I wasn't able to access the internet from home until I got home last night, although I could check my email from the office when I was there.  The power went off in my work place Thurday morning and they didn't get it back until Saturday.

It's a mess here in Winston -- trees down and branches all over the streets (mostly swept off to the curbs now).  There were a lot of power lines down but they've been restored for the most part and it only took Duke Power three days to get the power back to most of its customers in the area.  They did great work!
