Catherine and Listers,

I work with Pennsylvania's Initiative on Assistive Technology, and we work
with the Pennsylvania Assistive Technology Lending Library. I am sorry,
Catherine, that you have had negative experiences with the Lending Library
and that you are communicating those negative experiences. We make every
effort to keep equipment up to date (within the ability of our state funds)
and to see that everything is in good working condition. We are also value
consumer choice and feedback. When consumers find that our inventory is
out-of-date or that particular devices do not function, please let us know.
If you would like for us to add a particular device, please let us know.
You can reach us by email at [log in to unmask] or by phone at 1-877-722-8536.
.

The Pennsylvania Assistive Technology Lending Library can only be used by
residents of Pennsylvania. However, other states have AT lending libraries,
and the new AT Act requires that all states have AT LLs unless they can
provide a good reason for not doing so.

Also, I would like for all of you to know that both Amy Goldman and I have
communicated extensively, off-list, with Anthony to answer his questions and
to try to connect him with his AT Act program and other resources.

Janice Knuth

There is an ATT lending library in Pennsylvania, though I don't know if
non-Pennsylvania residents could use it. Also, in my experience of using
their services, their products are very out-of-date and work minimally if at
all. Sorry to not have cheerier news.
