|I have just received confirmation that Dr. Sally Mangold, previously of
| San Fransisco State and best known for here research, product
| development, and curriculum in Braille has passed away.  She will be
| greatly missed and always thought of as a great leader, example and
| mentor to many of us in the field and the children's lives that she
| touched.  Below is the confirmation that I received.

| Hi Kathleen-
|
| Sally had leukemia and did pass away at 3 AM Saturday morning. I have
| been in contact with Sally and her husband, Phil, throughout this
| ordeal.
|
| Sally requested that there not be a memorial service.
|
| The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was a helpful resource for Sally. They
| seem to be close to a true understanding of this disease. Phil suggested
| that if people would like to make a donation they might choose this
| organization. Their website is: www.leukemia.org
|
| As Phil said, Sally will be missed by us all.
