Hi Martin,

You might have to finally get through to Head Office in New Zealand, but
you should be able to get what you need.

I have a second hand unit here with an external floppy drive, though
which software and speech are loaded. However, I suspect it's a much
older unit than yours, though you are welcome to a copy if you hit brick
walls at PDI.

George.

Hey George:
I've been looking around on the site, but didn't find anything about the
Keynote Companion.
I know it's discontinued and all, but It would still be nice to revive
it.
Hmm, I guess I'll have to contact their support people.
Martin

You should be able to obtain what you need from Humanware/Pulse Data.

George.

Subject: [VICUG-L] keynote companion

Hi there:
I have this old Keynote Companion I would dearly love to resurrect if at
all possible.
I like the little beast. I think however that the firmware has gone bye
bye.
All it does is it turns itself on and goes to a c: prompt.
No speech is heard.
In the past, you used to have to send it in for servicing when this
happened.
There must be a way to reload the software.
I'm able to access the PCMCIA card through my laptop so I don't see why
I couldn't just reload everything on the card and have it working.
That's my next problem, I don't have the Keynote Companion software to
be able to reload it.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Martin
