There is a real value to Adobe-encrypted files though, as a blind person,
you aren't likely gonna appreciate it.
The purpose of Acrobat .pdf files is to allow the page layout to be
exactly as intended by the author or publisher.  Hence, as an example, a
12 page newsletter would be printed out on 12 pages with the last line
being on line 19, not just whatever.
There is a real value to .pdf though not for a blind person.
