Jacob,

to resolve your problem, you need to adjust Winamp's file associations.
To do this, go to preferences (control P) and you will find a tree view.
go to the first selection in level 0 (setup) and expand the tree.  The
second selection is called file types.  Tab once into this selection.
Various kinds of files can be selected or unselected to work with Winamp.
A common CD file format is .cda.  There is also a button to associate
Winamp with all listed file types.  Make your selections, close the
window, and you should be set.
