One of the things I find interesting in these stories of implanted vision,
is that the final test, the test which shows the whole truth, and nothing
but the truth is: . . . THE ABILITY TO DRIVE A CAR!!!

Now that's so very American, Freedom, independence, gas guzzling.  Wow!
