Hi,
Have you tried reloading the OS? Does this problem manifest itself
while booting up? (in DOS mode) Have you done all the windows and
driver updates? Which OS are you trying to run?
Have you tried changing the RAM in the system? Did you check for virus?
Did the problem develop after a recent download?
These are all issues that you did not mention in the posting. The more
information given up front to the list in the original post, makes it
much easier to help with correct response for your situation.
Thanks and have a Great Day!

Greetings,
I sent the following post on April 24th. Since I received no response, I
am attempting a second post.
---------
I would like to know what is required to "repair" this acer laptop which
has developed a problem with the graphics. Vertical lines and odd
colours obscure the visuals on the screen completely. The model is 390c
- an old pentium 150 I believe. The problem "displays" on an external
monitor too ruling out the possibility of being a plasma screen issue.
Is there a "cheap" way to fix this and make the unit functional? Or is
the video "card" gone, and therefore only solution is to replace entire
board?
